In a remarkable move towards sustainable transportation, EVUp partnered with Murrindindi Shire Council to install two Australian-made DC chargers at the library and reserve in Kinglake.
These chargers have seen heavy usage since their installation, prompting the council to partner again with EVUp to further expand their EV charging offering, both to the public and internally.
Recognising the importance of electric vehicles in reducing carbon emissions, the council has begun transitioning their fleet to electric vehicles.
To support this transition, they have engaged EVUp once again to install two additional chargers at their head offices.
EVUp's advanced fleet software plays a crucial role in this expansion. The software allows the council to track usage by driver and vehicle, ensuring efficient management of their electric vehicle fleet. This comprehensive tracking capability provides valuable insights into usage patterns, helping to optimise charging schedules and reduce operational costs.
One of the standout features of UpCharge is the ability to offer paid charging to the public, while the council can utilise whitelisting to provide free charging for council employees. This flexibility ensures that the charging infrastructure can serve both the needs of the council and the broader community effectively.
