Mitcham Council has contracted us to set up fast electric vehicle (EV) recharging stations. This decision is a great service for residents in the area who are committed to reducing transport emissions. Even at the end of its life, these units will continue to help the environment through an embedded end-of-life waste recycling program.
By choosing EVUp, Mitcham has chosen to fly the green and gold—AURIGA pedestal units are made in Australia. We’ll design and install the units—then give long-term support to Mitcham for their public electric car charger across three sites.
Features of our EV recharging stations
Australian-made: it’s been made robust to withstand Aussie conditions by a local team.
Integrated: the charging software is developed in-house and reliably monitors your site.
Connected: software is OCPP (Open Charge Point Protocol) compliant, it captures data efficiently, and allows users to access the portal remotely.
EVUp believes in building local manufacturing, skills, and jobs. This is why we build and supply our own Victorian-made AC charging units, as well as DC units made in Queensland—the only Australian EV charging network to do so.
What’s more, our team are consistently looking for ways to improve EV driver charging experiences by asking the EV community and watching market trends from more mature overseas markets.
We are proudly Aussie and you’ll find interns working with us at any given time, including those working on ICE (internal combustion engine) to EV conversions in our Melbourne head office workshop.
Congratulations to Mitcham Council for supporting green and gold—and supporting local EV drivers with fast and reliable charging facilities.
