To keep current customers and attract new ones, you need to make it easy for them to travel to and from your business
Businesses who install electric vehicle (EV) public chargers on site are more likely to draw more customers as they’ll need somewhere to charge their electric vehicles while travelling.
You see, electric vehicle drivers get what’s known as ‘range anxiety’ when their batteries are about to run out.
Installing an electric vehicle public charger on your site means your customers stop and stay longer.
There’s a move to electric vehicles (EVs) with the NSW Electric Vehicle Strategy aiming to increase EV sales to 52 per cent of all new car sales by 2030-31 and the majority by 2035.
Funding under the strategy also includes a $131 million investment for ultra-fast charging infrastructure and a $20 million investment in EV charging in commuter car parks, creating a world-class charging network across the state.
To support this, NSW EV drivers have been getting $5,540 off the cost of new electric vehicles using the $3,000 NSW ev rebate and an ev stamp duty exemption.
Minister for Regional Transport and Roads Sam Farraway said a series of EV tourist drives would also be developed across the state to promote EV travel across regional NSW, following the rollout of the EV chargers.
“This will grow local economies and support small businesses in areas impacted by Covid, bushfires and floods,” Mr Farraway said in the media release launching the NSW electric vehicle charging grant.
The NSW government wants to help your business
with the costs of doing this. But only for a short time. They’re offering $2000
to $40,000 for EV chargers through electric vehicle destination charging grants.
Round one will be open for 4 months from
Monday 23 May 2022 to Friday 23 September 2022. There will be multiple funding
rounds through to 2024.
You can get $2000 to $40,000 per site.

EVUp is the first Australian business to manufacture electric vehicle charger and software. We’ve been innovating and inspiring electric car enthusiasts for almost 2 decades, since 2015.
We’re known as Australia’s most reputable, most reliable electric vehicle charger manufacturer.
That’s why businesses such as Westfield, Marriot, and Byron Shire Council have had us install their electric vehicle chargers and give them around the clock support for their electric vehicle software.
We understand businesses and organisations are doing it tough. That’s why we constantly improve our charging software and with almost 2 decades of experience racked up, we’re proud to offer it at an affordable cost.
Yet we offer so much more than cost. We offer a 24/7 service because we know electric vehicle drivers don’t drive on a 9-5 schedule. Their chargers have to work, and your EVUp charger - your business - will be the reliability and reassurance they need.
We’re a 100% local Aussie business with both the chargers and software manufactured and supported locally. That’s right, call our service centre and you’ll speak to an Aussie local with electric vehicle expertise.
On top of that, our vehicle charging software will work with any charger on the list.
These are all reasons why businesses such as Westfield, Marriot, and Byron Shire Council have installed EVUp electric vehicle chargers.
